A wonderful bleaching option is at-home treatments. These have become very popular because the patient receives good results that are long-lasting with minimal adverse effects. Often times a patient will see results after just a couple of treatments and can anticipate up to six shades lighter from this 2 week process.
Custom Made Bleaching Trays
This type of tooth whitening usually requires two visits. At the first appointment, impressions (molds) will be made of your teeth to fabricate custom, clear plastic trays.
At your second appointment, you will try on the trays for proper fit and any adjustments that may be needed. The trays are worn with a bleaching solution provided by Dr. Beussink either twice a day for 30 minutes or overnight for a couple of weeks depending on the degree of staining and desired level of whitening.
